Rescue SquadThe Wilber Rescue squad is comprised of approximately 21 volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians. The three rescue units and firetruck are equiped with Jaws of Life, air bags, and defibrillator. An average of 75 rescue calls and 50 transfers are completed each year. The volunteers also provide CPR training in the community.HospitalThe Crete Area Medical Center is located 10 miles north of Wilber.Wilber Care CenterThe Wilber Care Center, located at 611 N. Main, 402.821.2331, or toll free at 800.394.7135, is a 70 bed- skilled nursing facility attached to a 23-unit double occupance assisted living center.The Wilber Care Center is Medicaid, Medicare, and VA certified. outpatient therapies offered are physical, speech, occupaitonal, massage and mental health. Visits from a podiatrist, dentist, audiologist, physicians and beasticians are scheduled regularly. Dietary services include nutritional assessment and counseling, along with diabetice teaching. Meals are home-cooked ethnic meals prepared to your physician's specification. Activities and programs are offered daily. Adult day care is available daily with respite care for those caregivers who may need a longer break. |
